The three pillars.
There are three core pillars to operating a sustainable business. They’re interconnected and equally important - sometimes referred to as the ‘triple bottom line’.
Environmental (Planet). Reducing your negative impact on the planet. Lowering carbon emissions, conserving water, minimising waste. Making business decisions that put the health of our environment first.
Social (People). Ethical practices, community engagement, and creating a positive impact on society. Fair work, justice, and a workplace that genuinely values diversity and inclusion.
Economic (Profit). Operating profitably without harming the environment or society. Long-term financial strategies that build in ethical and sustainable practices, making the business more resilient, not less.
