Boast

Boast Privacy

Boast does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. No analytics. No third-party services. No tracking.

What gets stored

The schedule you set, the statement library toggles you choose, and any custom statements you write. All saved locally in Chrome's chrome.storage.sync. This means the settings can sync across the Chrome browsers you sign into with the same Google account, but they never travel through Human Kind's servers.

What does not get stored

Nothing else. Not which sites you visit. Not how often you open LinkedIn. Not how often you use the override. Not your IP address. Not anything that could identify you.

Permissions and why

The extension requests four Chrome permissions:

  • storage for saving your schedule and custom statements.
  • declarativeNetRequest for redirecting LinkedIn to the Boast override page during your block windows.
  • alarms for knowing when block windows start and end.
  • Host permission for linkedin.com only, so the redirect rule applies to LinkedIn and nothing else.

Boast does not request access to other sites, your tabs, your browsing history, or your downloads.

Removing your data

Uninstalling Boast removes the extension and the local settings stored against it. No further action needed.
